General Agenda Announced
Capitol Hill Ocean Week, the nation’s premier annual ocean issues conference, will focus on current topics including underwater parks and the National Parks Centennial, digital tracking and enforcement of international illegal fishing, marine debris innovation, Gulf restoration, Arctic economy, diversity in the ocean movement, domestic aquaculture and offshore energy, it was announced today by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, which produces the weeklong gathering. The CHOW agenda is now posted and will be updated regularly.
The conference will take place June 7-9 in Washington DC. Registration for on-site attendance is now open. As in past years, all CHOW sessions including keynotes and panels will be livestreamed free of charge through the NMSF-funded digital channel OceansLive, with additional web-only CHOW content.
The NMSF Ocean Awards Gala, the annual evening event honoring individuals whose work has furthered the goal of a healthy ocean, will take place June 7. Registration for the Ocean Awards Gala is now open too.
