National Marine Sanctuary Foundation invites you to a special event:
Catalyzing a “Blue Mind” for Ocean Health and Personal Health in America’s National Marine Sanctuaries
Join National Marine Sanctuary Foundation President & CEO, Joel R. Johnson, and ocean explorer Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, the brilliant mind behind the bestselling book “Blue Mind – The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do” for an afternoon break to discuss the value of National Marine Sanctuaries to ocean protection, and how a “Blue Mind” can catalyze ways to create and protect the ocean and other waters while improving personal health. Dr. Nichols will introduce the Blue Mind concept and lead a short group meditation and focus exercise using the Blue Mind techniques.
This virtual event will be held on December 5, 2023 at 12:30 PM ET, via Zoom, to benefit the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, a leading voice for U.S. protected waters. The Foundation works in partnership with communities and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to conserve treasured places for a healthy ocean, coasts, and Great Lakes.
Dr. Nichols will share his groundbreaking insights and personal experiences, shedding light on the profound connection between humans and water. Discover how spending time near, in, on, or under water can enhance our happiness, creativity, and overall health.
This event is free and open to the public. With your recommended $75 donation to benefit the Foundation, attendees will receive a specially curated Blue Mind gift package to include a personal copy of “Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Shows How Being Near, In, On, or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected, and Better at What You Do.” All registrants for the webinar will be entered into a drawing where the winner will receive a signed copy of Blue Mind.
