Dr. Ayana Elizabeth Johnson is a marine biologist, policy expert, conservation strategist, and Brooklyn native. She is founder and principal of Ocean Collectiv, a consulting firm that creates and amplifies solutions for a healthy ocean, while centering social justice. She is an adjunct professor at NYU, and national co-director of partnerships for the March for Science. She earned a BA in Environmental Science and Public Policy at Harvard, worked on ocean policy at the EPA and NOAA, and was recently a resident at TED.
