Research Opportunities

Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary Science surveys are a compilation of monitoring programs that provide the biological observations and habitat characterization for the Olympic Coast region. Many of these surveys require collaborative efforts from our partners to succeed. Survey and data creates a baseline of information for future monitoring and exploration programs such as invasive species detection, climate change impacts and water quality monitoring.

The research surveys listed below were either conducted by sanctuary staff or funded, fully or in part, by Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. The types of summaries include peer-reviewed journal abstracts, technical and field reports, and both oral and poster presentations. The chief scientist and/or principal investigator and primary funder are listed below. Project reports and data are stored thematically and chronologically.
